Different horns are required for different welding objects. Whether it is near-field welding or transmission welding, only half-wavelength horns can achieve the maximum amplitude of the welding end face. There are two types of horns, with and without amplitude amplification. The acoustic system horn for plastic welding machines is usually made of aluminum alloy, and its end face is plated with hard alloy. It can also be made of titanium alloy material for high power The fatigue strength of this material is higher than that of aluminum alloy.
Material of horn:
1. Titanium alloy (7075, 2024, 6061)
①7075: Generally used in vibration systems and horn manufacturing, high hardness, strong thermal conductivity, and good toughness. This material has extremely high mechanical yield strength and is an ideal material for ultrasonic mold manufacturing.
②2024: Generally used in horn manufacturing, good toughness, strong thermal conductivity, moderate hardness, used for general fusion plastic products
③6061: Generally used in low-mold manufacturing or low-output horns, with good toughness and hardness less than 2024. Used for horn manufacturing with lower output.
2. SCM8
Generally used for implanting screws and metal inserts, with excellent toughness and hardness less than 2024.
3. titanium alloy
Generally used for continuous vibration timing, extremely tough, high thermal conductivity, high hardness, and expensive.
4. hard aluminum alloy
Using domestic materials for ordinary aluminum processing, low thermal conductivity, high mechanical loss to ultrasound, and low cost.
